Because when it comes to your care you want the best. Especially if it involves your spine or your neck or the skeletal/nervous systems of your extremities. Why trust your body to an unknown?

Palmer-trained chiropractors, like the ones here at Chiropractic Care G.T., are known throughout the world to be the best of the best. They graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, the oldest, most famous of all the chiropractic colleges, the place where chiropractic was born. The most profound difference between a Palmer graduate and those of other colleges is in adjustment technique. Palmer teaches a minimum of twelve methods of adjusting each area of the spine–low-impact techniques for pregnant women, young children, and the aged, correction of vertebra without twisting or rotation for those suffering from arthritis or disc degeneration, Thompson technique drop table as well as flexion/distraction methods for those with disc herniations, bulging, nerve compression, vascular disorders, or structural surgeries such as fused discs or the use of metal replacements – where other colleges teach only a few.

D.D. Palmer, the grandfather of chiropractic, began to formulate the philosophy of homeostasis – enabling the body to heal itself aided by chiropractic manipulation to release energy and restore blood flow to wounded areas - in the early 1900s, as he worked on wounded and suffering circus animals for Ringling Brothers. Applying the bright idea that a spine is a spine, and if animal spines could be manipulated to restore health and energy, then why not the spines of humans, Palmer single-handedly created what we now recognize as the healing art of Chiropractic.

Because 25 years of experience, all in the same location, is a source of comfort and reassurance to those seeking chiropractic care for the first time, or looking to continue good chiropractic care while on vacation, or moving to our area and seeking to replace the trusted chiropractor from back home. With our Palmer-trained Doctor of Chiropractic, and our 25 years of experience here in Traverse City, it's the extra services offered in our building that convince many of our patients to visit the “one stop shop” at 620 Second Street.

They come not only for chiropractic care but for a certified massage therapist down the hall, for a doctor of naturopathy in an adjacent office, or for a thorough foot massage and reflexology. At Chiropractic Care G.T, we want to see you go home rested, relaxed, and feeling your best!

Some people seek chiropractic care first, and some seek it last. First, because they seek a drug-free, non-surgical solution to a condition, and sometimes, at last, after other, non-chiropractic treatment has failed to rid them of pain.
